Standard Bearer and other Martial Competitions
Watch this space fot the schedule of activities. The Schedule will be tight to allow those who wish to compete in more than one area to be able to do so.
To enter any of the martial competitions the entrant must:
- Vow to bear their weapon as a part of the Baronial Unit/Archer Corps for one year
- Bring a tale to share on the subject of the Baron and Baroness's Choosing to be related at the feast. (If you cannot stay for feast, contact the Baron and Baroness to make arrangements for an earlier tale telling.)
- Be an acceptible potential champion to the Baron and Baroness.
The Tale
All martial entrants must draw a random chivalric virtue from the Baron's bag and prepare a tale from Cleftlands History that illustrates that particular virtue. This can be something recent or ancient.
There shall be a prize given for best tale.
Premiere Dancer Competition
This competition is very simple; the dancers of the Barony shall dance and the Baron and Baroness will select which dancer they feel best exemplifies grace and energy upon the dance floor. The Premiere Dancer's job is to encourage dance and be an example of courtliness upon the dance floor.
The competition will take place after feast.
