Class: Stability, Strength, and Flexibility - Yoga for Fighters (10 AM)

Instructor: Maestra Mirabai Sitt Al-Sirr
Many fighters struggle with soreness and injuries, especially to knees, ankles, elbows, and shoulders. Joint stability, core strength, and overall flexibility are the keys to avoiding injuries and being able to fight without next-day consequences. This class focuses on stretches and basic routines to keep yourself in the fight. Appropriate for all fitness levels. Please wear clothes that you can easily stretch in, and feel free to bring a yoga mat or towel. Some motions will require being on the floor.

Tournament: Atlantian Speed (11 AM)

Youth Rapier Tournament: Dragons and Puppies (1 PM)

Every participant in this tournament wins a prize; the tournament will be fought from 1:00 to 1:30, or until the dragon is exhausted. Youth authorizations will begin at 12:00. YAF and YARMS are welcome to volunteer as the “dragon”.

Tournament: Valhalla Circle-of-Death (3 PM)

This legendary every-fencer- for-themselves melee tournament returns for a second year. Fencers ring the outside of the list; bring your best style. Upon “lay on”, they may fight anyone not directly adjacent to them. Fencers who die leave the list, but should remain nearby… when the fencer who killed them is killed, they may return to the list and continue to compete. Double kills are both “dead”. Forming alliances is permitted; treacherously betraying alliances is also permitted. Last fighter standing wins. *If* there is a winner – and it’s not a sure thing – they will receive a prize at court.
