Hafla

Hafla is an Arabic word used commonly in the SCA to describe a small, often low-key party that includes music, bellydancing, and fire.

Please join House Bloodjack, located behind the dining hall and the bath house, for the o’dark-thirty Hafla. There will be a fire set performance under the guidance of Maysu’un (aka Celeste) on Saturday night to kick off the gathering for invited performers. Afterwards, the fire will be free for impromptu performances, sans fire for safety reasons. There will be Middle Eastern dancing, drumming, and revelry into the night.
